What's downright hysterical is that this particular shaker is marked as the "Rondane." Apparently (according to a secret source) there was "on occasion a misspelling of the name!" Well, is this the cocktail shaker world's equivalent of the postage stamp where the airplane was printed upside-down?! I hope so!

By any name, this shaker was a triumph of American design and manufacturing. It's substantial (weighty), and the original silver electro-plating is in overall very good (if not "excellent," depending on how one views the definition) condition, as one might expect from the International Silver Company. There's one place on one side of the spout (see the photo) that resisted being polished out; otherwise, no significant condition issues. You can see that the interior is about as clean as these things ever get.

The two-piece cap hosts a built-in strainer, not to mention a gorgeous floral design.

Dimensions: this shaker sands about 11 1/2 inches high and front to back is about 8 inches (including the spout and the handle). The diameter of the vessel is about 4 1/2 inches. The "cork" is all-metal. Perhaps it was dropped at some point and the little bead on top got pushed a bit to one direction. Or, not? See less
