This French Directoire style was a more tailored design that followed just after the more ornate Louis.XVI style. The tall, squared backs, armrests, and generous seats are upholstered in an elegant, neutral silvery gray velvet with a nap that looks like silk. There is a subtle tone on tone pin dot pattern and there are reverse fabric pillows. Great as host/hostess chairs in the dining room or on either side of an entry table or fireplace. They are in very good condition and from the 19th century.
