A beautiful traditional Japanese Go board (Goban), crafted from solid Kaya wood and dating back to the Shōwa period (circa 1960s). The set comes complete with two wooden storage containers (Goseki-ire 碁石入れ) with lids, holding 181 black stones and 180 white stones.
Dimensions: height 24 cm, width 45 cm, depth 42 cm.
The playing surface is in excellent condition, and the wood has developed a lovely patina over time. The solid wooden board is finished with elegantly shaped legs, adding to its refined and decorative appearance.
