Cast circa 1950, the boy stands confidently with a feathered cap, cross-body satchel, and short trousers, holding a freshly hunted hare by the hind legs. His gentle smile and relaxed stance evoke the lighthearted rural romanticism popularized by artists such as Auguste Moreau and Emile Peynot.
Rendered in finely cast patinated bronze, the figure is mounted on a textured rectangular base simulating natural terrain. The surface retains a rich, deep brown patina, enhancing the sculpture’s depth and dimensionality.
