This charming porcelain vase from Rosenthal's Studio line features a poetic motif by the French artist Raymond Peynet: a mermaid on a whale – a humorous yet tender scene in the typical Peynet style. The other side depicts an underwater motif with shells and a fish. The vase is made of fine, glossy white porcelain with a clear, elegant shape. On the underside, it bears the Rosenthal stamp and the imprint "Messer" – a reference to the decorating company that applied the print on behalf of Rosenthal.
