Heavily foxed surface - a result of centuries of oxidation
Original mercury-backed glass
Framed in beautifully aged, hand-carved giltwood

Classical molding accentuated by delicate beading
Back of mirror reveals untouched 18th0century joinery and exposed hand-forged nails, along with ancient wood
