An exquisite 19th-century English barrel-back banker’s chair, crafted with timeless detail and enduring elegance. This antique writing chair features a gracefully curved back supported by finely hand-turned barley twist spindles and stretcher. Upholstered in original crimson red velvet with gilt gimp trim and traditional tack finish, the chair exudes refined Victorian charm.
This chair would have originally served as a banker’s or gentleman’s desk chair in a study, library, or professional office—intended for occasional use but made with decorative pride.
