An early and rare iteration of Afdal’s expandable bar cabinet for Bruksbo, crafted in richly figured rosewood before the later transition to Formica tops. The bar’s top surface cleverly doubles in size and slides to the right, creating a generous serving and prep station. A locking mechanism secures the top in its open position, stabilizing the base during use. Finished on all sides, it can be placed freely within a room. You can even pull up counter height stools to the bar when it is extended out!

The interior offers organized storage with compartments for glassware, bottles, and accessories, along with fitted storage in each door. Original casters allow for easy mobility. Excellent vintage condition with only minor wear consistent with age. Comes with original key.

Afdal, chief designer at Bruksbo, was internationally recognized, with commissions for the Norwegian parliament and private acquisitions by Jacqueline Kennedy and the Emperor of Japan.
