A stunning contemporary oil painting of peonies from my garden. I started this painting this spring but just finished it. My inspiration was the work of Rachel Ruysch, whose brilliant work is on view currently at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.. Flowing, modern, and vibrant, this framed work measures 12.125 inches wide and 15 inches tall. The depth of the gold and black frame is 1 inch.. The painting was created in professional grade oil paint . The painting is signed on the lower right. Please note, no butterflies were killed or harmed to be in this painting. I search for dead specimens that I find on the ground. Those shown here were found on my property or by the road where I walk.
