Description:
This exceptional antique Chinese silk embroidery tapestry, dating to the 18th century, is a fine example of Qing Dynasty textile artistry. Beautifully preserved and framed, the piece measures 15.5" H x 13" W x 0.75" D, including the frame.

The central motif is an imperial dragon, embroidered in shimmering gold thread, surrounded by auspicious cloud formations and delicate floral elements in shades of blue, ivory, and soft beige. The dragon, a powerful symbol of strength and authority in Chinese culture, suggests the work may have originally belonged to a noble or official's ceremonial robe or banner.
