Sally Brody is an American artist who has been painting professionally for most of her life. Widely recognized for her still life compositions featuring flowers, plants, and vessels, her paintings are characterized by their vibrant use of color and a style that has been described as having elements of Fauvism and Post-Impressionism.
She graduated from Smith College, studied painting and print making at the Art Students League, the Brooklyn Museum, the Pratt Graphic Center, and the New York Institute of Technology.
She has had a long and active career, with numerous solo exhibitions at prestigious venues such as the Atlantic Gallery, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and Home Box Office. She has also designed tapestries for commercial clients like IBM.
