This … Read more This is a vintage mid-century glazed majolica sea shell planter produced in Florence by the Italian Sculptor Ugo Zaccagnini. This whimsical shell is indicative of the playfulness and tradition of mid-century Italian ceramics This is a very charming piece with the outside painted with beautiful country flowers painted and the inside painted in a fantastic turquoise. It is in great vintage condition and has had a tiny repair to his tentacle. This incredible piece is signed on the bottom (Z Italy) and is circa late 30's to late 50's.
