This panel depicts Paris holding the body of his brother Hector, who had just been killed by Achilles, for which Paris would revenge himself by shooting an arrow into Achilles' only vulnerable place, his heel.
Measures 24" x 37 1/2".
Albert Marschner Gilles (1895-1979) was born in Paris and settled in Quebec in the 1930s. He was known for his metal craftsmanship.
