An antique pair of French Provincial male and female silhouette figures from the Art Deco period are depicted in what … Read more An antique pair of French Provincial male and female silhouette figures from the Art Deco period are depicted in what is knows as the "Bal Masque" butterfly wing effects hand processed (reverse painted) on glass. Painted in the classic colors of black with gold foil atop a cream colored background with mustard yellow color features. One picture displays a male figure playing a stringed instrument, in a jester like costume. The other, a female with a detailed dress holding a fan. The art is surrounded by gold finished etched frame with a small black inset.

On reverse side there's hanging hardware included, a description of art this pair seem to be the "Romances in Pair" along with a from the National Recovery Administration during the Great Depression era. This stamp was created by the New Deal Era of 1933 to create good and fair working practices in the U.S.A. Won't you make this attractive pair, "keepers" in your home?
