Venetian Sansovino Palatial Early Baroque Style Carved Giltwood Mirror.
This is a magnificent antique Venetian Sansovino style deep relief carved, richly water gilded and highly burnished framed mirror. It is certainly an outstanding 19th century large scaled museum quality piece. The opulent and bold carving makes a strong statement.
The condition is good. Some gilt loss. Gesso flaking regilded.
Outer measurements: 31 ½” H x 26 ½” W x 4 ¼” D
Inner measurement: 19 3/4" H x 14 3/4" W
Weight: 22 lbs. without mirror.
