Early 20th Century Heywood Brothers & Wakefield Mission Oak Rocker
Antique rocking chair from the Arts & Crafts / Mission Era features solid dark stained oak with straight 4-slat backrest, flat-head screw construction, wide plank paddle arms and original leather seat c. 1910.
Partial paper sticker of Heywood Brothers & Wakefield Company Boston Mass (this name was changed to Heywood-Wakefield Company in 1921)
From the estate of the 1900 Terence Dolan House in Methuen, Massachusetts, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Dimensions: 35" high; 33" along the length of the runners; 23" wide; seat width is 21", 20" depth.
Original antique condition. Very solid. No damage beyond age-related darkening. Original leather seat is intact; underside cloth backing shows age spotting but no tears, gaps, or fraying.
