A rare 18th-century air twist wine glass dating to c1750.
It has a conical bowl engraved with a floral wreath above a multi spiral air twist stem and a conical foot.
The vast majority of air twist wine glasses with conical bowls from the 18th century are drawn trumpets. In other words the are two part glasses with a single join at the base of the stem.
This is a rare three part glass with a conical bowl rather than a trumpet and also a join above the straight multi spiral and above the foot.
Very subtle difference but far less than 0.5% of air twist wines have this feature.

England, c1750. Period of George II.

Condition
It has a very small bruise on the side of the foot at 9pm in the foot pictures. Quite minor for a very rare form. No other chips cracks or restoration.
