Striking ‘Convair 4.4’ swivel lounge chair designed by Oddmund Vad for VAD Trevarefabrikk, Norway, circa 1970s. This sculptural piece features an enveloping dark brown leather upholstery with deep button tufting and an extra-high backrest for enhanced comfort. The seat is supported by a distinctive rounded wooden frame and swivel base, evoking a Space Age aesthetic with Scandinavian warmth. There is a tiny, inconspicuous hole in the backrest just below the wooden rim, but it remains visually discreet. A rare and iconic design with timeless appeal.
