Baluster-shaped vase, on a round base offset by a nodus, with gently curved, slender walls, slight constriction at the neck … Read more Baluster-shaped vase, on a round base offset by a nodus, with gently curved, slender walls, slight constriction at the neck with flared rim, colorless glass with flaky yellow-orange, brown, and green powder inclusions, highly etched and delicately painted with colored enamel on the outside, with a frosted glass-like satin finish on the background of the wall, foot polished, cameo signature ‘DAUM NANCY’ with Lorraine cross on the wall in the lower area between the plants. Technique: Handmade cameo glass Glass overlaid with several layers, with high-cut worked out motifs. Since the middle of the 19th century, the design has also been done by etching.
