She layers her expression of her emotional response to the subjects with dynamic textures and subtle patterns in her artworks. Konrad's figures are brought to life with layers of acrylic, oil, or mixed media paint on canvas. The thick layers of paint add a sculptural and tactile, rich-looking feel to her paintings, along with the bodily presence of her subjects. Her meticulous study of line, color, and texture adds stunning depth to her abstract figurative paintings, creating a sense of mystery and intrigue that draws the eye to the subtle nuances of her art.

This original 17 inch square artwork is created with mixed media on a flat wood panel. The artist signed this abstract figurative painting on the front in the lower right corner. Convenient local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping are available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included.

Edith Konrad's passion for painting has led her to study in numerous master classes with artists from Germany and Italy, honing her craft and expanding her repertoire of techniques. Her preferred medium is acrylic or oil on canvas, and she also experiments with mixed media to create stunning visual effects. With each stroke of the brush, Konrad creates a unique blend of traditional mark-making and color field painting techniques, drawing inspiration from the rich history of art. Her artwork is a testament to her artistic versatility, as she seamlessly references the visceral immediacy of cave painting and painting on stone in some works, while exploring the depths of abstraction in others. Through successive layers of paint, Konrad's scenes approach the condition of pure color, light, and shade, creating a truly immersive experience for the viewer.

In 2007 her art was acquired by the State Museum Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She won the 2009 Palm Art Award, a Certificate of Excellence for outstanding artistic quality and originality of the work. In 2010 she exhibited at the Salon de la Culture at the Louvre in Paris, France. Her artworks have been exhibited internationally, including Artspace Warehouse Los Angeles as well as at numerous art fairs such as in Montreux, Geneva, Salzburg, Rotterdam, Marbella, Porto Ceresio, Los Angeles, Toronto, and Paris.
