The lid is decorated with two Buddhist roses on acanthus leaves amid dense, intertwining, polychrome, leafy, flowering vines, ending in a red ringlet at the edge of the lid. The white ferrule has a gold dot on top and a gold band around the middle. The rim of the jar has a red ringlet with a band of ornate, turquoise and pink, Ru Yi lappets below. Four, red and turquoise, archaic, double dragon cartouches are quartered on the body of the jar, all edged in red, cloud and thunder meanders, alternating with polychrome panels of a red Fu bat, a Buddhist parasol symbol and a plum blossom, amid a dense lattice of intertwining leafy, flowering vines. The foot of the jar is banded by ornate, pink and turquoise, Ru Yi lappets, ending in a red ringlet. A blue, four character, Yongzheng, reign mark within double squares is glazed to the inset base. The finely carved, Chinese, traditional, hongmu stand is included. Circa Republic of China era, no later than mid century. Excellent vintage condition.
