I'm not sure if the black finish is original or the work of someone who used to own this chair but the two-tone look is quite nice. The finish of the seat looks original but there are some light spots on it, suggestive of an unfinished attempt to refinish it. However it looks intentional in my opinion and creates a cool distressed appearance for the chair. See less

The front corners where the arms and legs meet have some finish loss on both sides. Photos show all these flaws. Structurally the chair is in great shape. less
