Porcelain hinged box in apple green with gilt frame. The top depicts a woman playing an instrument while her male companion is singing. The interior is decorated with brightly colored flowers. The porcelain is in good condition.
F.B.S. stands for Ferdinand Bing & Co. Successors a New York based importer. The box was made in Germany for this company and they had their logo marked on imported items. Technically this mark is of the importer not the manufacturer. They imported porcelain from many European manufacturers from 1900-1931.
