This vintage Russian Lomonosov vodka decanter set is made of white porcelain that has been hand-painted with red, gold, and black. The front of the flask depicts a girl in traditional Russian dress serving a bird on a platter. The back of the flask has a rooster with red and gold plumage situated on a gold spire. The decorated cap (topper) has red flowers with gold accents, which are mirrored on the four cups. This set was produced in the 1950s.
The decanter is marked with the logo and “made in USSR” on the base. These markings are also seen on the base of one of the cups. This set is in remarkable condition for its age. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or discoloration. The decanter set was kept in our grandparent’s glass front dining room cabinet and we cannot remember them using it.
