Chinese Porcelain huaniao bitong, a finely formed, heavy, bird and flower brush pot with a turquoise glazed rim and interior, … Read more Chinese Porcelain huaniao bitong, a finely formed, heavy, bird and flower brush pot with a turquoise glazed rim and interior, a grass green and gold glazed background in an etched spiral fern motif on the body and a light turquoise glazed inset base with fine, large pattern, rusty wire craquelure. The exterior is decorated with a finely drawn and detailed, garden scene of doves, pigeons and sparrows perched on a branching, flowering, gnarled peony bush and numerous other flowering plants and bushes, amid insects and a fenced, rock garden at the front and sides. A Chinese poem in black, caoshu script with one red seal mark is at the back of the pot. A four character, blue and white, Qianlong Yuzhi reign mark is glazed to the inset base. Circa Republic of China era, no later than mid century. See less
