Oil on panel by Aldo Pagliacco, 1954, the stoning of Saint Stephan in a mid-century form of the Saint lying forward in the scene after the stoning. A scene in the manner of the surrealist and symbolist of mid-20th-century Italy. A frozen in time scene, very Italian in view and spacing.
A painting on a wooden panel, which is cradled on the reverse to hold the panel flat, no frame is present.
Gallery label on the reverse and signed to the face.. The measurements are 34.5" by 39".
