The end panels are in lighter contrasting tones, decorated with beautiful hand-painted overlaid geometric patterns and circles in the characteristic Tuareg green turquoise red and black tones. Black leather fringes sewn on each end. Wear, commensurate with age, is shown in the photos and confirms the authenticity of the piece. A truly incredible finish. Originally a tent cushion, makes an unusual eye-catching wall hanging, an exceptional collector's item. History: The Tuareg people are a large Berber ethnic confederation. They primarily inhabit the Sahara in a vast area stretching from the far southwest of Libya to southern Algeria, Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso. Beautiful patina, one of a kind, circa 1960. See less
