* August 10, 1792: the storming of the Tuileries, ending with the arrest of Louis XVI and his family and marking the end of the monarchy
with the following inscriptions: "drawn by Monnet 1792" and "engraved by Helman 1793", "in Paris at the author's house, rue St. Honoré, the carriage entrance next to the cutlery shop no. 1497, and at Ponce, the engraver, the outer cloister of Val-de-Grâce no. 238"

* January 21, 1793: Louis XVI is guillotined on the Place de la Révolution (now Place de la Concorde)
Described as follows: "January 21, 1793, the death of Louis Capet on the Place de la Révolution, presented to the National Convention on 30 Germinal by Helman, in Paris at the author's house, rue Honoré No. 1497, near the Jacobins

with the inscriptions: "drawn by Monnet 1793" and "engraved by Helman in the second year of the French Republic"

These two engravings are framed (20th century baguette) under a marie-louise border: some foxing, stains, creases, and tears - wear to the frame.
