Each side is a unique original oil on board painting circa 1964. On the one side is a portrait of a man sitting in a chair, in a corner of a room, with his hands resting in his lap. He's dressed in what seems to be a working middle class. A gentleman with integrity and responsibility. On this side it's signed BOLCE 64, on the top left corner. Both sides are very much in the manner of Van Gogh and Paul Cézanne. The other side of the board we have a landscape scene with a couple laying and embracing beneath a large tree. We love the twisting of the branches and the array of colorful green, blues, red, yellows, and orange colors. It's a dynamic natural landscape with hints of a sky and distant hills. It's an unstructured presentation supporting the mood of the romantic love between a man and woman.

Both sides are executed in a bold expressive style with thick textured brushstrokes. The two scenes are carefully balanced and built and show techniques of a very capable fine painter.

There are two holes on both the top and bottom to be used for nails if you desire to hang it as is. Or it can be sandwiched between glass and flipped every time you desire to admire a specific side.
