The painting captures the immense scale and dramatic beauty of the famous Iguacu or Iguazu falls, a massive system of waterfalls of the Iguazu River on the border of the Argentine province of Misiones and the Brazilian state of Paraná. Sharon Frazier is an artist whose work has been influenced by the vibrant colors and historic architecture of Puerto Rico, where she grew up.
