Fabulous 1989 Sharon Frazier Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. A one-of-a-kind waterfalls pastel painting on paper. Signed by the artist in the lower right and titled on the lower left.
The painting captures the immense scale and dramatic beauty of the famous Iguacu or Iguazu falls, a massive system of waterfalls of the Iguazu River on the border of the Argentine province of Misiones and the Brazilian state of Paraná. Together they make up the largest waterfall system in the world.
This painting is a breathtaking beauty of collectible art.
Sharon Frazier is an artist whose work has been influenced by the vibrant colors and historic architecture of Puerto Rico, where she grew up.
Her artistic creations are characterized by her exploration of the texture of light and the depth of shadow, often rendered with pastels on handmade paper or oil on canvas.
She began painting at the age of eight, with her father, a landscape architect, teaching her how to use professional-grade pastels.
Her art has been showcased in numerous solo and group exhibitions in various locations, including New York City, Washington D.C, New Orleans, Japan, Spain, Paris, and Brazil.
Her works have also been featured in several museum exhibitions, including at the Museum of the City of New York and the Museo del Barrio in New York, and the Grand Palais in Paris.
She has received awards for her work, such as the Best Pastel award from the Pastel Society of America in 1991.
