The bookcase is composed of three individual units and the top unit with two open cases can be used as a stand alone piece. The top two units, feature recessed open adjustable shelving and a lockable, drop-down, writing desk or bar serving surface, that protrudes 9.5" from the cabinet drawers. The overall depth of the ledge surface is 29". The surface height is 20" from the floor. The third lower unit features 6 drawers with recessed eyelet pulls.
