It is likely an oil container, dating to the first half of the 19th century and attributed to Berber craftsmanship, thus made by a tribe from Morocco in North Africa. It is in excellent condition despite its age, and we are talking about an everyday object, more prone to breakage than a decorative piece. The patina covering the object is wonderful, perfectly consistent with our dating. See less
