The son of renowned kokeshi master Sugawara Shoshichi, he is celebrated for his precise craftsmanship and dedication to the classic Tōgatta style.

Dimensions per doll: height 13 cm, diameter 6 cm. In perfect condition.

Each doll features a distinctive floral motif: one is adorned with a red ume (plum blossom), symbolizing resilience and purity, while the other displays an elegant peach – a recurring theme in Sugawara’s work representing good fortune and longevity.

Delicately finished with hand-painted faces and graceful simplicity, these kokeshi exude warmth and timeless charm.
