It is … Read more "Misty Mountains", an abstract landscape oil painting on canvas was inspired by my recent trip to Sitka Alaska. It is painted from memory, not by copying a photo, which allows for more creativity and feeling. I remember arriving to Sitka by boat in the morning as the mist was gradually lifting from the mountains. Although it was inspired by Alaska, being abstract it could be anywhere! It is a very light filled painting with a wide range of color, none of which are overpowering.
The composition invites contemplation and serenity, bringing a meditative atmosphere to any space it inhabits. The 1.5 inch edge is matte white. Signed and dated on front and back. Certificate of authenticity.
