The tray shows signs of age - small corrosion marks and light scratches from polishing. There is at least one small spot where the silver plate has worn through (see photos). These do not drastically diminish the impression of this large piece.

Additionally the tray may once have had feet - see image of back as there are four points on the underside corners where the metal underneath the silver plate is exposed - this is not visible from the top and does not impact function (tray lays flat).

The tray does not have a maker's mark, making it difficult to date - presumed mid-20th century or earlier - but is marked '81915'. See less
