Known as the "Picasso of American Indian artists," Gorman’s work is celebrated for its graceful depictions of Navajo women, and this image is a fine example of his style and subject matter.

This piece is a Presentation Proof (annotated "Presentation Proof" at lower right), hand-signed by the artist and dated 1979 at lower left. Also features the embossed RC Gorman chop mark
