The scene corresponds to a Station of the Cross, during which Jesus falls under the weight of the heavy cross he carries on his shoulders as he climbs toward Golgotha. Christ, bent over, his gaze downcast and sad, is hounded by guards, who prod him with the staffs of their spears, and one tugs at him with the rope tied around his waist; a commoner looks sorrowfully at Jesus, while supporting the heavy wood. The painting shows traces of previous restoration and has been relined. It is presented in a period frame. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
