A very rare vintage lamp base with high collector value. West German Pottery. Manufacturer: Carstens Tönnieshof. Ankara decor by Helmut Scholtis in the particularly rare color combination of terracotta/dark brown, wax technique glaze. Height without socket: 54 cm, height with socket: 60.5 cm, circumference at the bottom: 58 cm, circumference in the middle: 45 cm. New electrical system including technical inspection, 1.5 m blue fabric cable, Euro plug and toggle switch in white. The world-famous Ankara decor was designed by the designer Helmut Scholtis in 1964.
Shade: Drum shade covered with English cotton fabric. Floral pattern in very beautiful colors, with a particularly detailed drawing that creates a beautiful play of color and light when the light is switched on. The shade has a diameter of 30 cm.
