Egyptian at the entrance to his dwelling is a etching and drypoint on ivory-colored and laid paper, realized by Edmond Ramus, in the mid 19th century. Signed on the plate and titled. In good conditions Edmond Ramus (1822–1890) was a French etcher well-known for his copies of paintings for art catalogs. Ramus was born in Paris and first exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1847. He was awarded a bronze medal in 1881. He is listed as one of the contributors of eaux-fortes in the catalogue of objects for the Palais de San Donato in 1880. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
