Carved with volutes, Rococo leaf motifs, gilded with gold leaf on a red Armenian bole base. They are most likely cornices of antique mirrors, in Swiss pine gilded with fine gold on a red Armenian bole base. The curly feet are in fact an addition following the transformation, and are therefore later. Despite the complexity of the typical Rococo decorative motif, it is a right and a left, that is, the carvings are reflected and mirror each other. This pair of gilded Rococo furnishing elements can be used as friezes above the door or as simple ornamental wall decorations. Of Italian origin, they were purchased in a villa in Milan and are in good condition, with minimal defects in the gilding and restorations. See less
