This … Read more Beautiful vintage mid century vibrant painting on silk of a Mount Fuji landscape scene, from an artist in Japan. This is a wonderful piece depicting a traditional Mount Fuji scene but in a vivid and bold mid century style. It comes unframed so you can frame it and display it as you please. We were told this hand painted piece was brought to America by way of Japan in the 1950's. It was painted in the Fuji Five Lakes area... a region at the base of Mount Fuji, Japan, showing the famous mountain. The area comprises of Yamanaka, Kawaguchi, Saiko, Shōji and Motosu lakes. This idyllic scene shows the Fuji Mountain in the background with an autumn villiage scene in the foreground, including a boat, traditional homes, and hills. All is surrounded by a strikingly blue water and sky landscape. Excellent condition, ready to be framed / displayed!

art is 14" x 8.5"
art is currently held in protective backing and clear front that measures 18" x 12"
You would simply remove the art from the protective backing and clear front sleeve in order to frame it
