This exquisite French baroque center table, dating from the 18th century, is a breathtaking example of Rococo exuberance and ornamental savoir-faire. Entirely carved in warm natural wood—likely walnut—its serpentine silhouette and intricate detailing reflect the opulence of the Grand Siècle.

At each corner of the scalloped tabletop stands a hand-carved mascaron, evoking mythological figures or grotesque theatrical characters—guardians of the space they inhabit. These expressive lion-like heads are not only decorative but narrate the fantastical imagination of the period.
