This refined Japanese footed dish is a beautiful example of Hirado porcelain from the Showa period (c. 1950).
Dimensions: Height: 4.5 cm / Diameter: 22 cm
Condition: Perfect condition.
Made from fine white porcelain and hand-painted in underglaze blue, the dish features a striking fishnet pattern (ami-mon / 網文), symmetrically radiating from the center.
Symbolically, this motif represents connection, protection, and the maritime culture of Kyushu — fitting for a piece originating in the coastal region of Hirado (Nagasaki).
The elevated foot makes it especially suitable as a serving dish for wagashi (Japanese sweets) or small delicacies during formal tea ceremonies.
The underside bears the character mark 平戸眞山 (Hirado Shinzan), a signature associated with craftsmanship and tradition in Hirado porcelain.
An elegant and rare piece for collectors of Japanese ceramics — or a refined accent in a calm, wabi-sabi-inspired interior. This piece has an attribution mark,
