These items … Read more This is a pair of coffee tables, but the right height to also be used as bedside tables. These items were made in Italy in the Riviera di Circe area, a few km from Rome, around the 70s. Both vintage side tables have a stable and solid structure, made with bamboo canes that frame and support plywood shelves covered with rattan webbing. Each strip of rattan that forms the dense weave of the shelves has a different earty color, due to time that has created a splendid patina. Rattan strips tie and join the bamboo slats creating a beautiful decorative pattern. These pair of side tables, have undergone a conservative restoration, cleaned in depth and treated with a specific water-based product that preserved the natural fiber surface and the patina of time. They show minimal signs of time visible in the photos. See less
