Original oil painting on canvas of lily pads on a calm pond by central California coast artist Maria Pavao Hadsell (Portugal/American). The lily pads lay calmly on the blue waters, with contrast between vibrant blues and greens.
Maria Pavao Hadsell is a self taught artist born in Portugal. Pavao later immigrated to the USA and lived in Massachusetts, later moving to Sunnyvale, California. She studied watercolor in Italy, and with Los Gatos artist William Wray.
