Onta Yaki is renowned for its timeless simplicity, robust forms, and handcrafted decoration, often created using wooden or bamboo tools.

The interior of the plate is adorned with a mesmerizing radial pattern of fine vertical incisions that radiate outward like sunbeams from the center. This texture is enhanced by a subtle wave motif along the rim – a characteristic detail of the Onta tradition. The glaze features warm, natural tones ranging from cream and sand to rich earthy brown, with a soft sheen that accentuates the depth of the surface.
