A wonderful antique Victorian leather top desk / writing table. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1840-1860 period.
This is of outstanding quality, it is a great size and sits on solid legs terminating in porcelain casters. The two drawers also have beautifully turned handles and fine, hand cut dovetailed joints. The inset leather top has a gorgeous colour tone and is tooled round the edges. This has a nicely finished back so can be used as a free standing item.
We have had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There is just some normal age related wear and patina here and there beneath the polish.
