A 1980s acrylic on canvas landscape painting by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Signed to the lower right, this dynamic work is dominated by the color orange with distant mountains in blue. Shades of red, black, and green create a rolling landscape in the fore and mid-grounds. The painting is displayed in a black wooden frame.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
