19th Century Swedish Giltwood Neoclassical Console Table. Console is an exceptional example of period decorative arts. Console top is rectangular black stone, and table features a carved giltwood eagle at its center. Eagle is poised with outstretched wings in a commanding stance, perched on an orb, and is mounted on a rectangular faux marble base, reflecting the classical motifs of the era. A pair of gilt columns in the rear provides additional support to the top of table.
This table would make an ideal statement piece for an entryway, hallway, or as a sculptural focal point in modern decor.
