Ladislao Plasencki was born in La Libertad, Peru in 1946. He initially gained acclaim in High School and in College as a young author whose poems and short stories were widely published. He studied mural painting under the famed Rafael Barandiaran. Starting in 1979, Plasencki began exhibiting his artwork in One Person shows and in the most prestigious art galleries. He has since also published his first novel.
